Supplementing an RTO with more timely and granular tourism insights

An RTO wanted to make data-based decisions, and wanted a more granular view of tourism within their jurisdiction and to access insights earlier than when official stats were published.
The challenge
Our RTO (Regional Tourism Organisation) client needed a regular flow of data to perform a myriad of tasks, from keeping tabs on their campaign activity, assessing how events, weather and marketing affected spend, as an input to product development, and to monitor performance over time.
The solution
Marketview had developed the Tourism Tool to address the visibility issues tourism providers had such as spend at specific areas of interest, spend by activity type, and spend on a daily basis to measure the impact of events.
The Tourism Tool had all the information requirements the client had listed, and more.
The outcome
Once the client was onboarded onto the Tourism Tool, not only did they find the information reliable and timely, but also gave them the confidence to validate and challenge assumptions. It’s proven to become a mainstay of their marketing arsenal and one that they tell us they rely on.
